Simple tricks to lengthen the life of your dataserver


  1. Follow the correct procedure before unplugging your flashdisk. Before you pull off your flash disk, complete the ejecting process. Another way is to click the 'safely remove hardware' option on you toolbar.
  2. Routinely scan with an antivirus program. With all the vicious viruses making their way around, the threat of getting your flash disk and computer infected is looming. Get rid of pesky viruses by scanning your flash disk thoroughly with an antivirus with an updated database before you use it.
  3. Keep away from water, high temperatures, magnetic fields, and hard impact. A flash disk is intricately made of a bunch of tittle components. The previously mentioned treatments may caused damage to the components and damage the flash disk. Beware!
  4. Always remember to back up your data. Electronics may not be reliable at times at times. It's just good measure to keep another copy of your files someplace else, like a data CD or inside the computer. This way, you will not be frustrated if something happpens to your flash disk.
  5. Use the USB cap when not in use.
  6. Avoid editing data directly from the flash disk.
